This young farmer's journey into regenerative agriculture began as an observer, attending many of Naandi's training sessions and community meetings from the sidelines.
Inspired by the knowledge he gained through these interactions and the strong coffee-growing culture around him, he embarked on his regenerative agriculture journey in 2017.
His first harvest was modest, reflecting the challenges of cultivating coffee in degraded soils. Undeterred, he and his wife committed themselves to restoring the health of their coffee plot. Over the past nine years, their dedication has transformed the land into a thriving ecosystem, with soil rich in organic matter, abundant earthworms, and healthier coffee bushes producing approximately 3–4 kilograms of vibrant, high-quality cherries per bush. The transformation has extended far beyond the farm itself.
Their flourishing coffee plot has provided a stable and reliable source of income while also earning them recognition as part of the globally celebrated ARAKU brand.
Reflecting on this achievement, the farmer shares, "It is truly an unbelievable feeling. Never did we imagine that our coffee would cross the borders of our country."
Today, the couple's journey has come full circle. From quietly observing Naandi's meetings to becoming passionate advocates of regenerative agriculture, they now play an active role in inspiring and strengthening the growing regenerative coffee movement across Araku.
