Roasting, QC & Dispatch

At Taith, coffee is roasted in small batches with a focus on clarity, consistency, and presentation. Every coffee is roasted, quality controlled, packed, and dispatched in-house.

Our approach is intentionally slower and more deliberate than standard production roasting. Rather than prioritising speed or volume, we prioritise careful roasting, extensive quality control, and attention to detail throughout every stage of the process.

Roasting Schedule

Sunday Roast

Pick lists are generated at 9am Sunday. Orders placed before this point will be included in the Sunday evening roast.

Wednesday Roast

Pick lists are generated at 9am Wednesday. Orders placed before this point will be included in the Wednesday evening roast.

Orders placed after pick lists are generated will move to the following roast cycle.

Quality Control

Every batch goes through a lengthy QC process before approval and dispatch. This includes colour sorting, colour scaling, roast analysis, cupping, grading, and brewing evaluation. Coffees that do not meet our standards are removed from release.

Packaging & Design

All packaging is designed and printed in-house through our riso print studio. We create and print our own labels and materials, carefully selecting high quality paper stocks from ethical suppliers.

We see packaging as an extension of the coffee itself — something tactile, intentional, and worth spending time on.

Approach

We roast very light with the aim of presenting coffees as clearly and faithfully as possible. Coffees are selected based on flavour profile, producer relationships, origin focus, and what their purchase supports - not simply what is easiest to sell.

There is great care placed into every element of what we do, from sourcing and roasting to brewing, printing, packaging, and service. This naturally results in a slower and more deliberate approach, but it allows us to present coffee in the way we believe it deserves to be experienced.

Thank you for supporting slower, more intentional roasting.
